    The world's biggest cross-border ski area

    Portes du Soleil spans 600 km of pistes across 12 linked resorts and the France-Switzerland border. The Swiss side (Champéry, Morgins, Les Crosets, Champoussin, Torgon) sits at slightly lower altitude than the French side (Avoriaz 1,800 m, Morzine, Châtel) but delivers some of the most spectacular cross-border skiing in the Alps. UK skiers must carry passport for entry to Schengen countries but face no internal border check between resorts.

    Cervinia (Italy) to Zermatt (Switzerland) via the Plateau Rosa (3,899 m) is the world's highest cross-border ski crossing.
