    Above 2,000 m base elevation is the standard threshold for snow reliability through April. Below 1,500 m, conditions become weather-dependent from mid-March onwards.

    Mid-January to mid-March at any altitude. For early December and April skiing, stick to glacier resorts and high-altitude stations above 2,200 m.

    Lower-altitude resorts (below 1,200 m) have lost roughly 30% of their natural snow days since the 1970s, but high-altitude and glacier resorts remain reliable. Our 'snow-sure' filter excludes anything historically marginal.
