Gudauri receives 7–8 m of annual snowfall on average, making it one of the snowiest commercial resorts in continental Europe-Asia. Goderdzi (Adjara, Lesser Caucasus) records 8–10 m due to Black Sea moisture trapped against the mountains — the heaviest snowfall of any commercial ski area in the broader region. Bakuriani averages 4–5 m, similar to mid-tier Alpine resorts. The combination of high snowfall, cold continental winters and 3,000+ m peaks makes the Georgian Caucasus the most snow-rich ski region in the Caucasus-Anatolia belt.
